Happy Almost-End-of-Winter!! It's been a strange few months of weather ... but a wonderful time here at the shop. Since last I wrote to you... we've added three fantastic new dealers ~ The Necessary May Speak, Hooten Nanny and Closeouts and Collectibles! They're all excellent at choosing unique and beautiful vintage items ... and their presence brings another layer of aesthetic interest to the shop as a whole. The store had a fabulous holiday season and a surprisingly lovely January too! Thanks so much to all of you for coming out, spreading the word and sharing in our love of antiques, vintage style, interesting re-use and the most stylish form of RECYCLING! :)
Now that we're on the precipice of Spring ... we're all getting excited about the coming warmth and the creative energy that comes along with it! We have some wonderful events planned for the next few months. Garden Workshops with Cricket!!
Repotting Your Houseplants ~ Monday, February 27th (6:00 - 8:00 p.m. .)
Our lovely garden goddess Cricket will begin a series of Monday evening workshops for all you gardeners who are dearly eager to get your hands in the dirt! Come into the shop in the next few weeks to get a list of all of her classes with descriptions for each. But here are the dates of the first few! All are free to Milkhouse customers except for
the cost of supplies, when appropriate to the workshop. :)
Cold Frames and Seed starting ~ Monday, March 5th (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.)
Cold frames made from vintage windows will be available at this workshop to start your plants and veggies! Or if you’re handy ... you’ll be able to see them to make your own!
Planning Your Veggie Patch ~ Monday, March 26th (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.) Planning Your Perennial Garden ~ Monday, April 23rd (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.)
Saint Paddy's Day Tasting ~ March 17th and 18th
We'll have home-baked Irish soda bread (one of the few things I know how to cook!) and lots of green around to get you in the mood for Irish antiquing!! Didn't know there WAS such a thing??? You'll have to drop by the shop on Paddy’s Day weekend to find out what it is!! lol And we'll make it worth your while with great pre-Spring sales from all our fantastic dealers!!
First Dealer's Yard Sale ~ April 14th (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
Hooray!! It's yard sale time again! Many of our vendors set up outside on the second Saturday of each month (starting in April) for a rather special "yard sale". You'll find wonderful treasures that our vendors might be clearing from their booths to make room for new lovelies. So if you're an avid garage sale hunter ... this is a monthly event you won't want to miss! You're also welcome to join us as a seller! Spaces are $10 per person. Please call the shop at 610-942-4834 for more details. Sellers must be signed up by Monday, the 9th please!
Milkhouse Spring Festival and Juried Artisan's Fair!!
